Think of Chiropractic care for the body is like an alignment on a car. If the the alignment is off, it throws off the entire car and when your body is out of alignment, it works the same way, it throws off your entire body. There are three general phases of chiropractic care at our office and its not a one size fits all type of program. Its important for you to being at the level you need and we have very scientific based protocols to determine where that is for you. Your individualized care plan will be based off your consultation, history, symptoms, exam, digital x-rays and motion study x-ray analysis. We will then create a care plan based on your needs, goals and abilities.
Phase 1: Relief Care -Feel Better
If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care two to three times per week for 6 to 12 weeks initially. The goal is repetition to keep the encourage the bone and soft tissue to move into proper alignment and most importantly, stay there. We like to tell patients to thing about this process like going to the gym, it takes work and it takes repetition but the end result is a healthier, happier you!
Phase 2: Corrective Chiropractic Care
During the Corrective Care Phase, muscles and other soft supportive tissues are encouraged and allowed to heal and re-balance around the bones proper positioning, thereby helping to stabilize the spine and prevent injury. It is typical to need care 3 times per week followed with 4 to 8 times per month for 3 to 24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem. The goal for our Corrective Spinal Care Protocols is to re-establishing the healthy, natural curves of your spine, restoring motions and function resulting in a health, free flowing nervous system. The level of spinal degeneration and poor posture or curvature in the spine will be evaluated using a multitude of diagnostic procedures and the doctor will present a full and thorough care plan to get you on the road to lasting relief.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed or is healthy and functioning at its peak, it is important to maintain spinal hygiene (just like caring for your teeth), it is common for patients and their family to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid pain and problems in the future. Based on your age, lifestyle and goals this is generally just a quick visit once a week or for some a month to keep everything moving optimally.
